Moss Associates Ltd was incorporated in Wellington, New Zealand in 1986 by Geoffrey & Joyce Moss to supply the Asian and Pacific markets with much needed practical books on communication, training and management skills. These books were the result of the study of the work experiences of over two thousand people attending Geoffrey Moss's training workshops in many countries.

Geoffrey Moss left home at sixteen years of age to become a farm cadet. After serving in the Royal New Zealand Navy, he studied at Canterbury and Massey University Colleges and later at Colorado State University and Victoria University of Wellington. After experience as a Farm Advisory Officer and Chief Advisory Officer (Extension) in the Department of Agriculture, he studied communication technology as an Eisenhower Fellow in the United States of America. He returned to New Zealand to set up the Information Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and to become the Director of Management Services.
In 1985, he was appointed Senior Planner/Programmer (Agricultural & Rural Development) for the United Nations Development Programme for Development Training and Communication Planning for Asia and the Pacific, based in Bangkok. Later he was appointed to Massey University as a Senior Lecturer and seconded to the University of the South Pacific’s Alafua Campus in Samoa.
He is an Honorary Fellow and a Past President of the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural Science. He has been an active Toastmaster for 40 years and has served as the President of the Wellington Club and as the Area E1 Governor. He has been awarded the Distinguished Toastmasters award, Toastmasters International's highest recognition.. He is also a Fellow of the New Zealand Speech Board and was its Vice-Chairman for a decade.
In 2008 he was presented with the Golden Jubilee Award by the New Zealand Guild of Journalists and Communicators in recognition of outstanding services to the Guild.
Over 2,300 people have attended his Asian and Pacific workshops. He has run 31 three-day workshops at the Singapore Institute of Management. He is author of 26 books on training, management and communication. His books have been published by 31 publishers in 18 countries, in 11 languages and there have been over 95 editions published.
